Table of contents= 1 pt per entry
Pages are noted for the entry. The title of the lesson is correct. The date that the entry was made is listed correctly. (This is all posted on a chart in the classroom.)
Complete: 6 pts
The student will have completed all of the information that was assigned for that entry. If it includes a diagram/picture, it is colored if appropriate and it is labled.

Each entry should have a date (month/date/year)

Each page is numbered correctly and are in sequential order
Each assignment is worth 10 pts X 10 assignments=100%
If a student is absent, they are responsible for using a classmates journal to make up the work. Students will be given advance notice before a check so that they can complete any missing work.
Notebooks will be checked after every 10 entries. The check will be a grade and will be used to make sure that the notebooks are complete. An incomplete notebook is not a useful tool to be successful. More details about how the notebook will be graded will be given at a later date. The notebook check will NOT include actual homework assignments. This is much different from what we have done in the past. This should be an opportunity to make a good grade in Math since all of the work is done in class.
