Human Resource Services will recruit, retain, support, and develop a highly competent, diverse workforce that supports the mission, vision, and values of Johnston County Schools.

 

In addition to recruitment and employment, this department provides leadership in administering personnel policies for the school system.  This includes ensuring systemwide compliance with federal, state, and local laws and policies related to human resources.

Additional Services: 
Employee self-service  Access your information!  This will allow you to see what is currently on file with Central Services with respect to your demographic information and renewal credits.

Employee Leave Agreements:  Any employee who needs to take a leave of absence (10 or more days) for personal or professional reasons should submit a request for leave.  Contact Debra Sasser at 919-934-6032, ext. 249 if you have any questions.

Voluntary Shared Leave (VSL):  Individuals who would like to request VSL should complete the application (available from your school's secretary) and return it to Human Resource Services.  Once the committee has reviewed your request, you will be notified of their decision. 

Individuals who would like to donate leave should complete a donor's request (available from your school's secretary) and return it to Human Resource Services. 

School Volunteers:  Individuals interested in serving as school volunteers must complete a Volunteer Application at the school site where they wish to serve.  The Volunteer Application cannot be obtained from nor submitted to any Central Services Department.  The application process must flow through one of the schools in order to be considered for approval.
