Wilson's Mills is the youngest town in Johnston County. Wilson's Mills was issued a charter in 1927. It's original charter was revoked in 1971 and the town was granted its current charter in 1996. Wilson's Mills has several properties on the Johnston County Historic Properties Study List for the National Register.
