Dear Parents,

Many of you already know but others of you may be discovering as you read this message that I will be the interim principal at Cleveland Elementary School for the remainder of this school year.  I am very excited to be here and to have the opportunity to work with you and the outstanding teachers, staff, and students at this school.  My goal is to continue the tradition of academic excellence for which this school is so well known by supporting our parents, teachers, and students as we all work hard to finish strong this year.

We continue to welcome you to serve as a parent volunteer at Cleveland Elementary.  Volunteer applications are online at www.jcsvolunteers.com.  After your application is submitted and approved, please remember to coordinate with your child’s teacher to let him/her know the times that you are available to assist at the school.

February 18……….Early Release Day (carpool 1:40; buses 1:50)

February 19………..5^th grade field trip

February 21-
March 1 ………  …Book Fair

February 26………PTA Parent Night (Grades K, 2, and 4=5:00-5:45;
  Grades 1, 3, and 5=6:15-7:00)

March 1……………..Battle of the Books

End of Grade Testing dates:

May 21 and 22………EOG Reading and Math……Grades 3-8

May 23 and 24……….EOG Science……………….Grade 5
