 Supplies Needed for Art I, Art II, Art III, and Art IV 1. 1 sheet of posterboard, any color. This will be used as a folder to contain artwork. 2. No. 2 pencils, not mechanical type 3. Optional: Crayola Color Pencils and Markers - these are usually provided but some students choose to have their own 4. Hand held pencil sharpener 5. A shirt or apron for messy projects. I have some shirts available but you may prefer to use your own. 6. A spiral bound notebook for notes and art vocabulary. There may be additional supplies needed as we progress through the year and explore other techniques for creating art. I will keep the students updated on any of these items. A handout highlighting our class objectives will be given to the students the first week of school. Included in this packet are permission forms that need to be signed by a parent of guardian allowing students to use certain tools and also to have their pictures made for public display. Art Club Art Club fees are $10. This fee covers the costs of supplies used during club meetings and is included in any field trip costs. This fee does not cover costs for food or other items. Art Club fees also assist a scholarship fund for a graduating senior interested in pursuing a career in art. Please contact Mrs. Gatlin if interested in applying for the scholarship. This paperwork needs to be turned in by May.

Art I - Exploring the Elements of Design - Space, Texture

Fine Crafts - Working on a variety of creative artworks!  Students choice.

Art Exams!  May 24, 2013!  Independent Projects Due!

Art Club:  Tie Dye Day, Friday, May 10.  Art Club members and Craft Class students may bring in two articles to be dyed during Power "B" and 4th block

Supplies needed for all art classes: 

*PENCILS!  No. 2 Wooden Pencils.  You may purchase your own color pencils and markers but the art room does have them available.

*You may also choose to bring your own hand held pencil sharpener for your convenience.

*ONE SHEET OF POSTER BOARD for storing your artwork, any color.

*Composition book for art notes.  You may also staple ten (10) sheets of notebook paper together to serve for your notes.  This is to be kept in your art folder (poster board).  There is an exam for ART I.
