THE CONCERT DATE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO MONDAY, DECEMBER 17TH!!!!!
Our sound man, Mr. Greg Tart, was not available on the 13th so we had to make a change. I hope this does not cause anyone any inconvenience.
The rehearsal for the concert will be on the same day as the concert immediately after school from 2:30-3:45.
The students will need to go home after the rehearsal and return to the school by 6:15.
Concert attire is as follows:
Girls: 1st section of concert: "vintage depression era clothing" They have been told what this is. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email me.
2nd half of concert: Black long-sleeved round-neck shirt, Black pants (not jeans or yoga pants, please!), Black shoes, and red suspenders.($12.00 for suspenders to either be paid to chorus or fundraised through candy sale.)
Boys: 1st half of concert, "vintage depression-era clothing"
2nd half of concert, white tuxedo shirt, red bow tie and suspenders, black dress pants, and black dress shoes.
The white tuxedo shirt, bow tie, and suspenders are $30.00. Some boys already had a tuxedo shirt, so they will need to pay $15.00 for the bow tie and suspenders.
We are selling candy which students will be credited with $39.00 to their account if they sell one box. This will more than cover the amount of their outfit if they choose to sell. Any money left over after covering the cost of the outfit will be kept in their account and may be applied to trips or other expenses they may occur. Money in their account will carry over to the next year until they graduate.
All county chorus was a GREAT success!! South Johnston had 15 students who participated. The concert was amazing and the same students participated in the Veterans Day program on November 12th.
We have 24 students and chaperones signed up for the Orlando trip April 11th-15th. There are also 24 students and chaperones signed up from North Johnston. That means we have 6 spaces left so if any of you would like to go, please see me asap to pay the $25 deposit.
The total cost of the trip is $615.00 and the next payment in the amount of $118.00 is due on November 30th.
