Board Meetings

The Johnston County Board of Education holds a regular meeting on the second Tuesday of each month, with the exception if it falls on a legal holiday, that meeting shall be held on the next business day. The meetings are held at the Board of Education Evander S. Simpson Building and begin at 2:00 P.M.

Special meetings and emergency meetings may be called at any time by giving actual notice of the time and place of the meeting as required by G.S. 143-318.14.

Public comments are welcomed. The persons desiring to address the Board shall be required to submit the following:

• Sign up to speak forty-eight (48) business hours prior to the meeting by contacting the office of Ross Renfrow, Deputy Superintendent for Administrative Services at 934-6031. (48 business hours would make the deadline on the Friday by 2:00 prior to the following week's Tuesday 2:00 board meeting)
• Comments are limited to five minutes or less; can not address student or personnel issue
• Must provide a Public Comment form, which is provided by the Deputy Supt's office, along with written statements to Mr. Renfrow 48 business hours prior to the board meeting
