Welcome to Ms. Williams' Homepage!
EARLY COLLEGE ACADEMY IS CLOSED UNTIL JULY 30 HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!!
I am delighted to teach Honors Biology this semester. Biology is the study of the fundamental concepts of cells, heredity, evolution, ecology, and the diversity and interdependence of living organisms. Students will participate in laboratory experiences and will receive instruction in reading in the content area, vocabulary development, and critical thinking skills. Biology is a very important course in the high school curriculum. The state of North Carolina requires students earn credit for this course in order to receive a high school diploma. Students enrolled in Biology must take the State End of Course Test that will cover all material studied this semester. Students must meet two standards in order to receive credit in this class. Standard 1: Students must score a minimum grade of 70 on the End of Course Test. This score comprises 25% of the final average. Standard 2: Students must have a minimum grade of 70 as their final average. Both standards must be met to receive credit!
