NC launches new READY curriculum and accountability model

The 2012-2013 year launches major changes in NC education, including the new READY curriculum,  new online state testing, and a new accountability model.  See the NCDPI website for more information.  Changes in testing are designed to align with the national Common Core Standards and to provide students, parents, and educators more  comprehensive tools for college and career readiness. Testing Philosophy

  The West Johnston testing office operates according to local county guidelines and the NC Department of Public Instruction Accountability Services Division.  The testing office strives to promote "the academic achievement" of students and assist the WJ community in "understanding and gauging student achievement against state and national standards."

WJ administers thousands of county, state, and College Board tests yearly. This challenging task could not be managed without the support of parents and community members who assist by serving as proctors for all NC state tests. If you would like to serve and be a part of the WJ family, fill out the proctor form today!
